History
Temari is the eldest of three children raised in a strict, but wealthy home. Her mother, a disaffected trophy wife, divorced her father after a series of infidelities in the 60s (that had resulted in her brothers) and abandoned her to her father's will. To this day, Temari will not speak of her mother.

In her youth, Temari often felt constrained and suffocate by her father's overbearing attitude and found herself yearning for a venue in which she could find her freedom. The venue presented itself to her in the late seventies at the tender age of 12, an age of change and discovery for all young girls but especially ones who seemed to be on the hormonal fast-track like Temari. In 1977 “God Save the Queen” erupted like a hideous, pussy zit across the UK and splattered across American subculture. The Sex Pistols were raging and providing the disenfranchised youth with anthems and power. An avid news watcher her entire life (a habit her father had turned her onto and that fed her thirst for knowledge), the resulting stories of anarchy and rebellion inspired in London (and following rash of trouble that spread like wildfire as the Sex Pistols embarked on a disastrous American tour) soaked into Temari’s brain and started to warp and change her wiring.

Inspired and invigorated, Temari embraced the punk scene, music, fashion and mentality with every ounce of her being. She raged and rebelled with the best of them, reveling in finally having found the right medium to express her dissatisfaction and anger with those trying to control her (in every sense). She became a well known staple of the local scene, becoming a strong promoter for small touring bands during the hardcore expansion of the early 80s.

As hardcore developed, she found herself more aligned with its principles rather than with the self-destructive tendencies of anarchic punk. As a result, she kept up her education and maintained top marks throughout junior and senior high school, remained well in tune with current events, and read like a fiend. Information and education were, after all, the most powerful weapons anyone could master. After high school though, she was left with the dilemma of how best to share her resulting thoughts with the world and instigate change.

She went immediately into the work force at first, deciding that she needed to better connect with the struggles of reality before she could truly confront them. ‘Know thy enemy’ became her catchphrase. Eventually, she decided art school would be the venue best suited for her to explore her personal ‘How’. There, she would be able to receive the training she needed in any artistic medium (as it had always been obvious to her that art in general would always have the most powerful impact) and figure out what suited her best.

Over her first two years, Temari dabbled in everything available to her and even supplemented a few classes at a visual arts school. Finally, she narrowed her inclinations to music, choosing to focus on training herself on the guitar and learning to sing.
Her goal is to become a powerful punk front-woman, and to inspire people to change their lives and their world in the same way that seeing her favorite bands did for her. Now that hardcore has collapsed on itself and the scene has died out, she wants to reignite that spark and contribute once more to the pulsating intensity live shows always generate under the skins of all in attendance.
Disclaimer
The following is a fictional Role Play journal for [info]80s_no_jutsu. Temari is portrayed by the fabulous front-woman from Blondie, Debbie Harry. I don't own either of them. Graphics were made by me, [info]anotherstraycat, unless otherwise states and resources are varied, listed in my personal journal.
